Why it matters for builders

Search ads put a text ad at the top of Google and you pay each time someone clicks, whether or not they get in touch. Local Service Ads show the Google Guaranteed badge above those and you pay per lead — only when a homeowner actually calls or messages. Search ads give you more control over messaging; Local Service Ads are often more efficient because you're paying for contacts, not clicks. Many builders run both.
